“Our season unfortunately just ended in the playoffs, but I’m excited to be developing and building our athletes in the offseason to become an even stronger team to potentially achieve a district championship and make an even deeper playoff push in the following season,” said Coach Will Kollet.
Q: What has been each of your favorite experiences from this season?
A: “My favorite experience from this season was our JV beating Carthage in the second round of District play,” said Coach Grant Payne.
A: “My favorite experience so far was helping our girls basketball team reach the playoffs for the first time in 5 years,” said Kollett. “Big accomplishment for the program! We have already gotten so far in my first year here and we look to improve upon what’s already been established. Excited to see what we can accomplish next season!”
What is a message you each would like to give out to our community?
A: “This year was a big year for the program establishing a winning culture,” said Payne.
A: “I’m extremely proud of our team and what we have accomplished this season,” said Kollett. “I feel as though we have all the potential and talent to make this program something the student body and community will cherish moving forward and incredibly honored to be here at Kilgore to help achieve greatness for this school.
