Kilgore baseball batters are up for the beginning of the season with lots to come. They are working extra hard to bring all the heat this season, and with good coaches on their side, they can achieve that.

“It’s important to make the athletes realize that they are going to make mistakes, but it’s how you respond to them that makes you a good team.” Zachary Hubbard said 

It’s important to not let one mistake affect how you play, especially when there are good plays that can be made. 

“Some challenges are missing the ball, and there’s also sometimes catching or if I strike out. I just gotta move past and carry it to the next play or at bat.” Sophomore Miles Applegate said 

It’s important to be strong with your teammates because it makes playing with them 10 times better. 

“My favorite thing about playing baseball is getting to go out there and compete with my brothers and doing it in front of a big crowd.” Senior Kolton hale 

We all start somewhere and we all want to be the best, so it is important that you work hard to get to the top. There are going to be challenges, but it’s important to work past them to get to your goals. 

“One of the challenges that I face when playing baseball is having to work for specific spots that I want.” Junior Brody Smith said

When you work as a team it is amazing what you can accomplish. When working together you can be more productive and organized. 

“One thing that our team needs to work on is being as a team and being better teammates to each other.” Junior Rafello Adamez said 

Baseball doesn’t just teach you skills for the field, it can help teach you very important life lessons that can stick with you for the rest of your life. 

“Baseball helps students mature and grow in life by teaching them valuable life lessons that extend beyond the field. It emphasizes the importance of teamwork, discipline, and accountability.” Joey Pippen said
