The March student of the month has earned her this accomplishment by being hard working, punctual, polite, and determined and she is senior Gracious Key.
“My biggest challenge would be starting dual credit classes and trying to adjust to college norms and grades.” said key
Kilgore has so much to offer and one of the things that makes Kilgore so amazing is the community.
“I’m proud to say that I can rely on so many people, students or staff, to make sure we all can get a good education and support for other students.” said Key
We all need someone to be in our corner and help us through life.
“I would say my mom is the person who influenced me most. She always kept me on track in school, and she would always believe in me as long as I tried my best. I wouldn’t be me without my mom.” said Key
Teachers can make such an impact on your life so it is important that as a teacher you make a good one.
“The most impactful teacher for me would be the welding teacher, Mr. Clark. Ever since I had his class, he kept telling me I was doing great for what it’s worth.” Said Key “He always made me proud of myself and my abilities.”
We all have some things that we like to do in our free time.
“My favorite activity would be welding. I’ve always wanted to create projects that were unique and impressive. I thought welding was a cool skill to have and would be useful.” said Key
We all have that class that we look forward to and is our favorite class.
“The class I will miss would be physics. I loved doing projects that weren’t usual highschool stuff. Like launching model rockets and creating electrical currents.” said Key “The labs and science were fun to learn.”
With so many good colleges out there it’s hard to choose but it just depends on what you are looking for.
“I wish to go to Kilgore College to stay close to my home and family. “ said Key “After KC, I wish to go to UT Tyler to get my bachelors degree.”
You can make your job fun and enjoyable just make sure it’s something you really want to pursue.
“I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering because it’s been a dream of mine to design and build useful and amazing projects.” said Key
Who knows how your future will be but either way it’s still good to plan it out.
“In ten years, I see myself working hard at Eastman Texas because I focused on my studies and career to guarantee I had a good and stable lifestyle.” said Key
When school can get stressful it’s always nice to have friends to brighten your day.
“The lunches with my friends will forever be a good memory.” said Key “I always looked forward to lunch with my friends and the laughs we had. They always make my day when I’m stressed or exhausted from grades and school.”
It’s crazy how much our personality changes as we grow, some things that seem impossible when we were little are easy now.
“I would talk with my younger self.” said Key “I would tell her all the things I’ve done, how smart and big I’ve grown. I never thought I would be in the top 10, nevertheless in honors classes, when I was younger. I would tell her to look forward to the future, to all the friends and opportunities I gained.”
