“I want to bring excitement to science,” Williams said. “I feel like there’s a lot of people who see science as a very scary term, and I would like people to realize it’s more fun than the standard curriculum.”
The officers of the Science Club are President- junior Isaac Dichard, Vice President- senior Abel Espinoza, Secretary- sophomore Caitlin Sunday, Treasurer TBD, Event Coordinator- senior Luciano Brizuela, Security- seniors Pedro Gonzalez and Amdyn Fajardo, Host- senior Daphne Crum, and Officers- seniors Jose Luna, Nolan Binford, senior Gustavo Trejo, and Presidential Adviser- junior McKayla Holland.
“I want Science Club to grow throughout the year and that everyone learns more and more each meeting,” Dichard said. “I am excited about leading a new group of students to a new found understanding of science.”
At our meeting, we discussed fundraiser ideas, shirt ideas, labs, and experiments, as well as a trip to Six Flags. Our labs and experiments
“I’m excited about all the experiments we’re going to do,” Sunday said. “I’m a very hands-on learner, and I know in class there aren’t many labs we do so this is more experience rather than just watching a video or reading about it.”
Whether you enjoy science, enjoy doing fun experiments, or just want to add a club to your roster of activities, the science club is perfect for you!
“I joined Science Club because I like science, and a lot of car stuff has to do with science,” Gonzalez said. “My favorite science subjects are mechanical science, and physics.”
Their next meeting is Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:15 AM in Room 207, we hope to see you there!
