Band students along with their friends and family get ready to watch featured movie ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.

On August 26, the Band Boosters hosted the first ever Family Movie night. Band students from middle school throughout high school were invited, along with their friends and family.

“I had a lot fun watching the movie and spending time with my friends,” freshman Juan Vega said.

The event was planned to be held on the football field, but due to the rain, the movie was quickly moved to the indoor feld. The movie shown was Guardians of the Galaxy.

“The movie was so funny and I’m glad the movie was in the indoor that way we didn’t have to worry about the weather,” senior Cruz Daniel said.

Members of the Band Booster Club provided freshly popped popcorn and handmade vanilla ice cream.

“The ice cream was so good, and the fact that it was homemade made it so much better,” senior Macy Armstrong said. “I hope we do more events like this in the future.”
