In today’s day and age, it is very important that teenagers feel included and like they belong somewhere. A solid, consistent youth group is the perfect solution. By getting up on Sunday mornings and choosing to go church, and attending Wednesday nights with their friends, it is crucial to have a solid friend group and a place to go in times of need or to thank the Lord for friends and family.

“It’s a great place to meet new people and also be with your best friends who you met through the group,” sophomore Gracelyn Nash said.

Youth groups are a great place to go to find lifelong friends, and create a solid friend group that will get you through anything in high school. I never would have thought that I would be where I am right now. After joining First Baptist Kilgore last spring, I have met some of my best friends and people I can truly count on no matter the circumstance. 

“You can go to your youth group in times of need and it’s a lot better than being out somewhere in danger or doing something bad,” Nash said. 

Youth groups are the perfect place for teenagers to go so that their parents will know they are safe, taken care of, and also having a good time. Every Wednesday, I look forward to going to Wednesday nights because it is the perfect pick me up in the middle of the week and it immediately lightens my mood. I love being able to worship God while also hanging out with my best friends.
