Soccer teams to play games during break

Soccer season is upon us! The teams have been assembled, and they have been practicing hard. The boys played one scrimmage on Dec. 10 against Longview. Both varsity and junior varsity won. Varsity won 3-2, and junior varsity won 2-1. The girls’ soccer team hasn’t played a game yet. Their scrimmage that was scheduled for Dec. 10 was canceled because the other team, White House, withdrew. Come out over Christmas break to support both the girls’ and boys’ teams!

The boys have four games over break, as well as a tournament after the break ends. On Dec. 17, the boys will play a scrimmage against Terrel and Pine Tree at Pine Tree. On Dec. 31, the boys will play another scrimmage against Tyler Legacy at Tyler at 9 a.m. On Jan. 3, the varsity boys will be participating in the much-anticipated alumni game in Kilgore at 6 p.m. The following day, Jan. 4, the junior varsity team will play against Pine Tree in Kilgore at 6 p.m. They will have a tournament in Pine Tree Jan. 6-8 when we get back from Christmas break.

The girls’ teams have four games over break and a tournament at home when we get back from break. On Dec. 17, the girls will play a scrimmage against Pine Tree at home, JV starting at 1 p.m. and varsity starting at 3 p.m. The next day, Dec. 18, the girls will play against Sulfur Springs and Caddo Mills away. On Dec. 30, the girls will play against Mabank and Henderson at home. The following day, Dec. 31, they will play against Tyler Legacy and Waco Midway away. They will have a tournament in Kilgore Jan. 6-8 when we get back from Christmas break.

Tonight the boys play a scrimmage against Mount Pleasant here in Kilgore, JV starts at 5:30 p.m. and varsity starts at 7 p.m. Also tonight, the girls will be playing against Hallsville away with JV starting at 5 p.m. and varsity starting at 7 p.m. Try to come out and support the boys at home!
