Donations welcome
Health science club holds blood drive
April 20, 2018
On March 22, the KHS health science club held a blood drive. In this drive, Carter Blood Care collected approximately 50 pints of blood from the 30 people who signed up.
“The blood drive went well,” Cheyenne Kirkpatrick, health science club advisor, said. “Not many signed up, but the day of the drive went smoothly.”
All students aged 16 and older are eligible to donate blood. These blood drives are held several times each year to allow students to give blood to those in need.
“I think donating blood helps so much, especially for people who are low on iron,” junior Jaci Bateman said. “It’s a great cause for them.”
The last blood drive of the school year will be held in May. For more information, see Kirkpatrick or a health science club member with any questions.
