Behind the scenes of orchestra
Deeper focus on orchestra teacher Tristan Roberts
Tristan Roberts, the KHS orchestra teacher, wasn’t always interested in music but ended up falling in love with the art of music.
“When I entered orchestra as a sixth grader, I was told to play violin by my mother,” Roberts said.
He prepares for concerts by reading scholarly articles and talking to friends and other musical instructors about styles and other forms of preparation.
“I build relationships with world class, accomplished people in the related businesses, through which I am enlightened and thereby ever-increasing my abilities and skills to cultivate students’ success.” Roberts said.
Roberts finds ways to have all his students be ready and not nervous for the events.
“I love how we are a like a family and I know that I can count on them and Mr. Roberts for anything,” senior Ciarra Cabe said
Orchestra will be performing their first concert on Oct. 24th at the KMS auditorium.
