Rocketry prepares paper rockets
The KHS Rocketry class is building paper rockets that will be launched soon.
The students will build these paper rockets individually; however, some rockets built later in the year will be a team effort.
“I really like it because it provides an opportunity to learn more towards real world problems,” junior Kate-lyn Riley said. “It’s great if you’re interested in aeronautics!”
The Rocketry class is still new with this being its second year.
“I joined Rocketry because it provided a challenge, that’s what I like most about it,” junior Emmanuel Gonzalez said.
Before last year, students who wanted to further their education in aeronautics did not have much to go with.
“The reason I joined Rocketry is because of the thrill that I get from building rockets,” junior Jacob Stone said.“I grew up so passionate about space travel.”
Anyone interested in joining Rocketry should talk to Lance Homeniuk in room 207 or the counselors in the front office.
