Being a senior can be very stressful because you are about to go into the real world, which means figuring out what you are going to do in life, but one way that seniors are coping with this is returning to their childhood with childrens’ backpacks. This trend is basically like going back to kindergarten because you pick a character backpack. Being apart of the trend can help you rehash your childhood which could help you take a load off. All around campus teachers are seeing this trend bring such positivity to the students.

“I like it, it’s different, and harmless fun,” Pre-Cal teacher Kelly Parrish said.

 The good thing about this trend is how flexible you can be with it with all of its interesting designs like a turtle which is Parrish’s favorite one , but if he had to choose his bag it would be Thunder Cats which is an old show from the 1980’s. 

 It’s not just a random pack back that you pick out at the store you can make this as personal as you want. Most people get their favorite character like senior Brandon Medina who has Spiderman on his bag. He chose this bag becaus

“It is something that is close to me and I like Spiderman,” senior Brandon Medina said.

 You also don’t have to make it personal; you can just pick whatever sticks out to you. That’s why it’s so easy to be a part of this trend but most of the time they are in it because it’s there last year and they want to throw back one last time.

 Your childhood is a really important part of your life so you need to make sure that you don’t forget it. Senior Daphne Crum is one of the many seniors hopping on board with this trend and the reason why is because it’s the last year of school so why not be a part of it while you can. Daphne has the Minecraft axolotl bag. She picked this particular backpack because she loves playing Minecraft.

 “I have played video games my whole life and have even started playing again” Crum said.

 That’s how it helps her stay in touch with her childhood. So that’s why this trend means so much to people but not just in kilgore this trend is many other shows which makes it even better.
