The art has been busy recently with awards and upcoming trips!
Art Club has a field trip on April 12. They will go to the Michelson Art Museum in Marshall, the Longview Art Museum, and the Tyler Museum of Art.
“I am excited to see and compare art culture through different museums”, junior Daphne Crum said.
Art Club will go for another round at Helping Hands on a to be announced date in April. They will meet in Mrs. Holly Harper’s room on said day and write inspirational sayings or bible verses on the back of the leftover paper from the Valentine Love-o-Grams.
“I like that I get the chance to help my community in various service works at Helping Hands and being able to add new skills to my inventory,” junior Linda Martinez said. “And the fact we got a few potatoes last time and they were very yummy!”

“I am extremely proud of all the students who entered into the VASE Competition,” art teacher Holly Harper said. “Even though we had some students who didn’t make Regionals (a total rating of 4), Mrs. Griffith and I believe they all deserved a 4!”
