Varsity tennis begins district matches
The Varsity Tennis team faced Spring Hill at home on Tuesday Sept. 12. They suffered a loss of 13-6.
“Although we took a loss, we all played hard and gave it everything we had,” senior Graham Tyra said.
The team is currently 4-3 in the season and 0-1 in district.
”Taking our first district loss was difficult to handle,” junior Tristan Dobbs said. “However, we all feel motivated to do better and learn from our mistakes.”
The next tennis match will be away on Sept. 21 against Van.
“We may not be the best team out there, but we strive for greatness,” senior David Chavarria said. “I have high hopes for this season, especially the spring season when I hope to make it to state with my boy Tristan Dobbs in doubles.”
