FHLA (Future Hispanic Leaders Of America) has a new sponsor this school year- Javier Orta! Mr. Orta is a professional photographer and was once one of the yearbook editors here at KHS. This is his first year teaching at KHS and he’s also the new Spanish teacher. FHLA had its first meeting on Aug. 23, 2023. President Roberto Solano and Vice President Juan Roberto held the meeting and explained what the plan for FHLA was this year. The meeting had an amazing outcome where multiple students showed up. At the end of the meeting, the students took pictures and had a donut courtesy from the president and vice president. Mr. Orta is excited about what FHLA will bring to KHS this 23-24 school year and hopes for the best. If anyone is interested in joining FHLA you can talk to Mr. Orta in room 101.
