Senior Mr. Texas Football player of the week nominee Tray Epps runs the ball into the end zone for one of his 6 touch downs.

Trayveon (Tray) Epps has been nominated for the Mr. Texas Football Player of the Week award, presented by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football and Wells Fargo in conjunction with the Texas Bowl.

Trayveon is one of the ten nominees for the weekly statewide award, which is 100% decided by fan voting. The poll, located at www.texasfootball.com closes Friday at noon. The recipe for success, we’ve found, is schools that utilize social media to spread the word to their students, faculty, staff, coaches, spirit organizations, parents and anyone that supports their team and community.

On Oct. 16 Tray broke a school record for total rushing yards with a total of 6 carries for 401- rushing yards and 6 touchdowns.
