October Student of the Month

Josiah Hoskins is the October Student of the Month.

Josiah has earned a Lone Star degree through the FFA program. The Ag class is one of his favorite school activities.

“It helped me with forming my character and without it, I would not be who I am today,” Josiah said.

One of his biggest accomplishments in his high school journey is becoming the FFA vice-president. FFA has made so many memories for him, but one
of his favorites is the FFA State Convention. He has also assisted the community by participating in SAFFE day, but in his spare time he likes to skateboard, sleep and work on projects. Josiah’s favorite out of school activity is work.

“It gives me a sense of accomplishment,” Josiah said.

One of Josiah’s best friends is Kristal Loredo. She is one of his closest people to him.

“She knows more than anyone else about me, plus she’s a cool person in general,” Josiah said.

Out of all the people in his life, Josiah will always be grateful for his father.

“I miss him and I would tell him about how I’m gonna live life,” Josiah said.

Ms. Herron has made a big impact in his life.

“She has been in my life since I can remember, so when she became my teacher, her classroom became

a comfortable place where I can be open with everyone,” Josiah said.

In ten years, he sees himself working a hard labor job.

“I see myself with a wife
and kids,” Josiah said. “I see a comfortable, happy little family.”

Since this is Josiah’s last year of high school he is thinking of classes he will miss. One of his classes that he’ll miss is Media 1.
“My classmates were really nice and the class work was fun,” Josiah said.

Josiah was taught how to ght the real world, so graduating is just another obstacle he’s getting through.

“I’m not scared of graduating. I feel I am prepared for the world,” Josiah said.

Josiah has juggled a job, school, and extracurricular activities during high school.

“I am most proud of the success I’ve had in my extracurricular activities,” Josiah said.

Josiah is currently employed, but on his off days he likes to relax.

“I don’t have a certain place but I like to be in my bed in a cold room bundled up in a big blanket,” Josiah said.

Josiah has always been active
in his high school years just to have something to look back to, so getting student of the month was rewarding.

“I believe I was chosen because of my academics,” Josiah said.

Josiah is now glad to be on his last year of high school and have time to do other things.

“My biggest challenge is getting sleep, since there is always so much to do,” he said.

Josiah Hoskins is undecided about college, but wherever he goes he is determined to do amazing things in life.
