Drafting classes this year have received new textbooks after 10 years of using old drafting textbooks.

“It’s nice to have updated textbooks this year, they have more vital information,” drafting teacher Mike Northcutt said.

The classes have grown overall, considering the large amount of students the high school acquired.

“Well, since my class is full of both second and third year drafting students, yeah it’s more full than it has been in the past two years,” junior Thomas Giles said.

The drafting classes also received three new laptops this year, and each computer’s Autocad and license renewal is being updated as well.

“The laptops don’t shut me out, unlike the older computers that excessively lag,” sophomore Leticia Vallejo said.
