Life Skills teacher

Q: What made you want to be a teacher? 

A: I love kids and I love working with kids. They’re interesting, entertaining and never boring.

 Q: Where did you go to school? What were you like as a student?

A: I graduated from Longview High School and the University of North Texas. I was a good student with good grades, but a bit of a rebel.

 Q: What’s your spirit animal?

A: I would say a horse.

 Q: What was your favorite extracurricular activity you were involved in during high school? 

A: I was on the swim team.

 Q: What are your hobbies?

A: Reading, riding my bicycle, and working in my yard when it isn’t 110 degrees outside.

 Q: Why did you decide to come to Kilgore?

A: I was offered a job here.

 Q: Who’s the most influential person in your life? 

A: If I had to say the most influential, I would have to say my mom. Also my family, because i’m the baby of the family, so they all have a big influence on me.

 Q: What’s your favorite part about teaching?

A: Experiencing those, “Aha!” moments with your students.

 Q: What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

A: I make coffee.

 Q: Describe yourself in four words.

A: I think I’m compassionate, friendly, outgoing, and caring.
