Q: What made you want to be a teacher?

A: The impact that teachers had on my life while in high school and college showed me that an education is important.

Q: Where did you go to school? What were you like as a student?

A: I went to Carlisle High School in Price, Texas. I was a very active, well rounded student and was involved in many organizations.

Q: What was your favorite extracurricular activity you were involved in during high school?

A: My favorite extracurricular activity has to be FFA. I was very involved in FFA during high school. I showed Charolais Cattle, served on the Officer Team, participated in leadership contest, and more.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I enjoy spending time with family, riding horses and raising cattle

Q: Why did you decide to come to Kilgore?

A: I wanted to work with my former teacher and learn how to become an excellent educator. This feels like a great place to influence the minds of students.

Q: Who’s the most influential person in your life?

A: My mother is the most influential person in my life because she has taught me so many life lessons and has stood by all the decisions I have made.

Q: What’s your favorite part about teaching?

A: My favorite part of teaching is getting to know the students and helping teach them all they need to know. I want them to be able to become the best person they can be for the future.

Q: What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

A: After getting up and getting ready for my day I like to be in the right mind set before I come to school, that way I can be the best person to my ability for school.

Q: Describe yourself in four words.

A: Trustworthy, organized, outgoing, hardworking
