Q: What made you want to be a teacher?
A: In my last semester of college, a small Christian school nearby needed an algebra II and a chemistry teacher. My pastor asked if I would do it, and I ended up loving it. I’ve been a teacher ever since.
Q: Where did you go to school? What were you like as a student?
A: I went to college at Mississippi State University. I was the epitome of the study hard nerd.
Q: What’s your spirit animal?
A: A bulldog. If I take a bite, I don’t let go.
Q: What was your favorite extracurricular activity you were involved in during high school?
A: Band was my favorite activity. I played French horn.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Crafts. Anything I can build with my hands.
Q: Why did you decide to come to Kilgore?
A: Mrs. Thrasher. She told me about how awesome Kilgore was, and I came to see what it was all about.
Q: Who’s the most influential person in your life?
A: My mom. She’s a very strong woman. She been through a lot, and always rises to the top. She’s is generous, kind, and just an awesome woman.
Q: What’s your favorite part about teaching?
A: I get to grow loving relationships with students. I feel like God somehow uses me to make a difference in their lives.
Q: What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
A: I snuggle with my husband.

A: Nerd, loving, patient, Christian.
