Q: What made you want to be a teacher? 

A: I became a teacher because I want to inspire other to love learning and math as much as I do.

Q: Where did you go to school? What were you like as a student?

A: I went to West Rusk High School. I was very shy.

Q: What’s your spirit animal?

A: I guess I would have to say a cat would be my spirit animal.

Q: What was your favorite extracurricular activity you were involved in during high school?

A: I loved playing the saxophone in band.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I love to spend time with family and friends, read, and crochet.

Q: Why did you decide to come to Kilgore?

A: Kilgore is a bigger [than most small towns] but still still has a small town feel.

Q: Who’s the most influential person in your life?

A: I would say that my parents have been the most influential.

Q: What’s your favorite part about teaching?

A: Helping students is the best.

Q: What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

A: The first thing I do is pray for my family and my students.

Q: Describe yourself in four words

A: Short, sarcastic, genuine, Christian.
