FHLA club is starting off the year by having a meeting to discuss the coming events. The club will be participating in Kidsgogh, an Art Festival for kids, Relay for Life and the Kilgore City Helicopter Egg Drop.

The clubs goal is to be involved around the community and participate as much as possible for a beneficial cause and giving back to the community by volunteering.

“It benefits the community, we raise funds for relay and donate them, we also work with the kids at various events and they have a good time,” FHLA president Perla Vasquez said. “We as leaders also enjoy helping the community’s benefit.”

Being leaders shows that Kilgore High school students have the initiative to help others, make an impact in the community and make a difference in their surroundings.
