Volleyball season comes to an end for the Lady Bulldogs
November 9, 2017
Unfortunately, the Lady Bulldogs ended their volleyball season playing against Rusk at their playoff game on Oct. 31. Rusk came in strong, but Kilgore wasn’t going to give up.
“I feel like we were in our heads, but once we overcame that, we started doing really well,” sophomore Dayton McElyea said.
The girls lost the first two games, won the third game, and lost in the final set. Rusk was a tough competitor. The Lady Bulldogs weren’t going to give up and fought to the end.
“It was a tough game, but we pulled through and tried our hardest,” junior Mackenzie Cavanaugh said.
This year there was only one senior left on the volleyball team and it’s Tianna Holland.
“It is a bittersweet feeling. It hurt tremendously playing that last game, but I’m glad we made it as far as we did. I’m going to miss playing volleyball,” Holland said.
The Lady Bulldogs had a great season and made so many accomplishments.
