The KHS Science held a Saturday for Science on Oct. 28.

Saturday for Science is an annual event held by the Science Club. They conduct multiple experiments such as making slime and creating edible blood, so that students and young kids can get involved and have fun with science.

“I like kids, so being able to open their eyes to a new experience in a fun way makes me feel like I’m doing my job as a science club member,” senior Anna Vega said.

Saturday for Science was created to give younger students that will be in high school soon a way to learn and play with science in a way where they don’t have to study or take a test. It’s also a great way to for the science club to gain future members.

“My responsibility as president of Saturday for Science was to make sure everything runs smoothly & the kids are having fun. I am looking forward to all of the experiments that will be performed since this is my first year of being in science club & being an officer my sophomore year,” sophomore Luis Baldazo.

The event contained labs such as Pie Face, Elephant Toothpaste, Dry Ice Bubble, and Slime.
